On May 14, 2007, I delivered "How to Love Networking for Coaches" to about 35 coaches and guests of the Chicago Coach Federation*. We spent just over an hour transfering the skills and success of participants from something they love to do in their life, to networking. They learned how to network the way they scrapbook, travel, coach, enjoy nature, and take pictures.
Results! Click below to read how one participant increased his love of networking by 60%! And read the organization's review of this session, below, too.
Particpants were asked before and after this workshop to rank how much they love networking on a 1-10 scale. Over 80% of the room moved 1 point up the scale, about 30% moved 2 - 4 points, and one particpant improved 6 points! This training helped him shift his perspective and broaden his mindset and approach. This participant went from seeing a room filled with people as enemies waiting to judge him and instead now sees that people all have a divine spark in them and it is his mission when he meets them to touch that spark. What a transformation!

Happy Connecting!
Read the organization's own review of this session here! ! LAST MONTH'S PROGRAM --- "How to Love Networking" with Gail Sussman-Miller
Gail has been a long supporter of our monthly meetings, so it was high time that we had her in the front of the room. And, boy, there's a reason why she's so successful in her coaching. She knows how to not only continually put herself out there, making her mark, but she's also created a wonderful and simple approach to completely shifting how we feel about the ugly "N-word."--Networking
Those that attended walked away with not only a great little skill (which I used with three clients last week with amazing results in them moving forward in their lives.) Not only that, but Networking seems a little less intimidating. Shall I say, even fun? "I was touched, moved, and inspired by the presentation! I was almost in tears when I realized networking can be a fun process to undertake. My perspective has been positively shifted!" says one very satisfied coach who attended.
And if you feel bad that you missed it, you can visit her website www.howtolovenetworking.com and order a copy of her new audio CD with this great information and more.
* Chicago Coaches Federation (CCF) serves as a vital resource to all Chicago area coaches, both new and senior level experience. They offer a supportive community, opportunities for professional development, networking, and an enjoyable way to connect with coaches from all backgrounds and specialties.

By the way, you're little [reframing] exercise [taught at the CCF meeting] really has proven very helpful. In fact, I've one client whose been on the verge of being overwhelmed with trying to fix up his house, get it on the market and move (completely out of his comfort zone.) It took us working together for about a year form him to get to this stage of commitment.
Finally, it dawns on me that he's achieved in the past tremendous weight loss and now eats extremely healthy and exercises.
We used that as a metaphor for how he "fills his plate" in his life. Many things are tempting and feel good in the moment--pizza, cupcakes, ice cream, etc.--but he now knows what the long turn impact is with all that and can now make empowered choices towards the "salads" and "proteins" in his life, so he can be full and satisfied and proud that he's doing the right thing to help him transform his life towards the way he wants it.
All in all, really effective.
